FAQ & support
Questions, answered honestly
Need a human?
Email support@kreeda.me and a real person will read it. If you already have the app, the feedback box in Help & about (the ? on Home) reaches us too — and tells us which build you are on, which usually saves a round trip.
Rep not counting and you want the exact rules? The exercise guides cover each exercise's camera setup, form, and precisely what the referee counts.
Getting started
Is Kreeda free?+
Yes. There's no paid tier, no subscription and nothing to buy.
Is there an Android version? Can I just use the website?+
iPhone only for now. The website shows your stats, but it can't count reps — the camera work happens on your phone, so training happens in the app.
Which exercises does it count?+
Two: pushups and squats. Both want the phone standing upright, facing you.
How the camera counts
How do you know my reps are real?+
Pose detection runs on your phone, every frame, and each exercise has its own rules about what counts. A pushup needs a full bend-and-lock cycle with both arms moving together — one arm glitching doesn't mint a rep. The server never sees a frame; it gets a number.
Is my video sent to a server, or to an AI?+
No. All the counting happens on your iPhone, with the model bundled inside the app. If you leave clip saving on, the finished video uploads to private storage under your account — but nothing analyses it, there or anywhere.
Can I use Kreeda without saving videos?+
Yes. Turn off "Save workout videos" in Settings and the camera counts without recording anything. If the app can't confirm your setting, it records nothing — it fails on the side of not storing your video.
Why won't it start counting until I hold still?+
Most exercises are measured against your own body rather than against the room, so squats need a baseline first — that's what makes your distance from the camera cancel out. Hold the start position for a moment and the counter takes over.
When it doesn't work
Why didn't that rep count?+
Every exercise has a gate. Pushups want both arms through the full range together. Squats need both legs tracked, out of a still standing baseline. The on-screen hint tells you which gate you're failing.
It says it can't find me.+
That means the model is seeing nothing at all — and a busy background, dim light, backlighting, or part of you out of frame all arrive as the same silence. Face a window rather than away from one, clear the background, and get your whole body in the shot.
I logged a set by mistake. Can I delete it?+
Not yet. There's no way to edit or remove a logged workout, and Power Level only ever goes up. Before you save, Redo throws the attempt away — after you save, it's history.
Power Level & leagues
What is a Power Level?+
Every verified rep you've ever done, folded into one number. It grows on a curve, so beginners climb fast and veterans have to grind. It never goes down, because your lifetime totals never go down.
Are all reps worth the same?+
No. A pushup is worth more than a squat. The exact weights get retuned as real workouts teach us things, so the app is the place to read them — not this page.
What are leagues, and what does Unranked mean?+
Five tiers keyed off your Power Level: Unranked, then Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Unranked is the doorway — friend duels work from day one, and ranking is what will open the rest as it arrives. Every set you log moves you toward Bronze.
Duels
How long does a duel last, and what if my rival just ignores it?+
24 hours. Ignore one and the challenger takes the win — you get a reminder an hour before it runs out. You can also forfeit instead of answering, which hands them the win straight away and shows on your record as a forfeit rather than a no-show. A challenger whose duel hasn't been answered yet can withdraw it, and it disappears with no result for either side.
Do I have to work out the moment someone challenges me?+
No. Answer with any set you've recorded in the last 24 hours — one morning session can answer everyone who called you out that day, though not the same person twice. Both sides play by the same rule, so nobody gets to send a week-old personal best and demand a live answer.
What's a mystery challenge?+
A duel where your rival can't see the number they're chasing until they've posted their own. They have to guess how hard to go — and they've still only got 24 hours to decide.
What is the Kreeda Weekly, and what's a crown?+
An app-wide race every ranked athlete is entered in automatically: no sign-up, every workout counts, and it scores only the points earned that week, so a rep is worth the same in Bronze as in Platinum. Win a week and you earn a crown. From version 1.7.2 the Weekly steps out of the app while it gets reworked; older builds keep showing it until they update. Crowns already won are kept and come back with it.
Gyms & streaks
What's a gym, and who can start one?+
A named crew with its own board. Gyms are out of the app for now, since version 1.7.1, and return together with the reworked Kreeda Weekly; founding one takes a Weekly crown. You can only be in one gym at a time, and leaving starts a cooldown before you can join another.
Do gym levels make my gym stronger?+
No — levels buy room, not strength. Each level adds member slots, paid for with the verified work the members do. Gym-versus-gym competition isn't live yet; for now a gym is its own leaderboard.
Do I lose my streak if I skip a day?+
One rest day is free. Two missed days in a row breaks it. Rest days don't pad the number either — it counts the days you actually trained.
Your data
What does Kreeda collect about me?+
Your email and username, plus a phone number, a city and your body weight if you choose to fill them in. Your rivals see the city; the phone and weight stay private, and the weight is only used for the calorie estimate. Your profile photo, which anyone who finds you can see. Your workout numbers, and your clips if you leave saving on. The app also records a few events of its own, such as the camera screen opening and closing, to see where people get stuck. None of it is used for tracking or advertising. The full list is on the privacy page.
Who can watch my workout clip?+
Clips sit in private storage under your account, and the app plays them through links that expire after an hour. You can always watch your own. In a duel, both of you can watch both clips from that duel — except that a mystery duel keeps the challenger's clip hidden until it has been answered. Nobody else sees your clips, though Kreeda's moderators can review them. You can delete a clip from Past Workouts whenever you like — the set stays logged, the footage goes. Anything you already saved to Photos or shared is not recalled.
How are calories counted?+
They are an estimate, not a measurement: 0.36 kcal per pushup and per squat for a 70 kg person, scaled to the body weight on your profile. Add your weight there to make it yours; without one the app assumes 70 kg and says so. Calories never feed your Power Level, XP or any leaderboard — those count reps the camera saw.
How do I delete my account, and what actually gets erased?+
From your profile in the app — tap your photo on the Power Level card, then Delete account. It removes your workouts, stats, duels, friendships, gym membership, unlocked quotes and usage events together, then every clip and avatar you've stored, then the login itself. A duel belongs to both players, so the ones you fought also disappear from your opponents' history. It is not reversible.
